Registration for April exams will begin 1/2/09.

Refer to the NCEES website for revised calculator policies, what personal items can be brought into the exam room and the latest candidate agreement. Failure to follow these policies can result in dismissal from an exam.

RESIDENTS REPAIRING STORM DAMAGE MAY NEED WINDSTORM INSPECTION
The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) is reminding all homeowners along the Gulf Coast that damage to their homes by Hurricane Ike must be repaired in accordance with the Texas Windstorm Building Code (TWBC) if the homeowner plans to obtain or maintain insurance from the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA). EMERGENCY TEMPORARY PE LICENSE
The Board has passed an emergency rule allowing for an emergency license for response to hurricane Ike. This license will be valid for 180 days and will allow engineering services to be performed specifically in the affected counties as designated by FEMA.
