What Makes PEO Members So Special? Members of PEO have gone even one step further to demonstrate a higher level of commitment to their profession. Through their membership in PEO, these PE s are voluntarily holding themselves up to a Code of Ethics established by the National Society of Engineering. www.nspe.org
PEO members are individuals licensed in many different engineering disciplines. Those include Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Agricultural, Chemical, Control Systems, Forensic, Industrial, Manufacturing, Nuclear, Traffic, Quality, Corrosion, or Safety. They may work in construction, industry, education, government or private firms.
PEO Services Include Governmental Affairs: Providing engineers with a strong and consistent voice in issues that impact the PE Act, working conditions, and more Image & Membership: Working with the media, employers, and other companies to demonstrate the importance of licensed engineers in society Member Services: Publications and Educational Programs Held Throughout the State of OR by the Local Chapters Professional Development: Training and career opportunities intended to keep engineers up to date, employable, and competent Student & Youth Programs: Community service programs through the PEO Education Foundation with scholarships to Oregon state universities. Support of the MATHCOUNTS middle school competitions. And statewide celebration of Engineers Week promoting engineering to generations to come. |
